Target Gameplay Mechanics

  • Arcade style racing with drifty physics
  • 3rd person camera that shows the vehicle itself
  • Tracks are wide and give players a lot of leeway to slide around.
  • Jumps will be common and one of the ways to gain points would be to jump, and land perfectly. (on the rear two wheels for example)
  • Optional "mini-game" in some game modes mid-race will feature "pit-stops" where the vehicle has to collect items in a defined perimeter and depending on the timing of the pressing of the accelerator (think Gears of War gun reloading), the player gets a boost.
  • This game will be very showy. Dust particles, slipstream particles, engine flames, engine steam and more will be essential in signalling to the player what the vehicle is doing.
  • Not only that, the vehicle in question will have a lot of animated surface areas which all animate differently in different combinations depending on how the player is controlling the vehicle.
  • Each vehicle will have at least 8 moving parts.
  • Upgrades to keep players interested in the game.
  • Players will feel like bosses when steering their vehicles.
